commercial (store bought) pattern, you get a clothing pattern that is closest
to your measurements, then start to adjust the pattern to try to get it to fit
properly. Not so when you begin by using YOUR OWN measurements.
By making your own patterns, you use your measurements, so
the pattern has no choice but to fit you. It makes no difference if
you're a 1x or 8x size, or anywhere in between, you're going to have a sewing
pattern and garment that will fit YOUR measurements.
